Where is your store located?

SquareWine & Spirits is located across the street from the Citi Bank building in Long Island City, New York, next door to Sage General Store. Our address is 2420 Jackson Avenue, Long Island City, NY 11101. We're the largest wine store in Western Queens, look for our big blue awning!

 

Free Local Delivery? How does that work?

Just enter your minimum below! We can accomodate most orders within one hour! To ensure same-day delivery, please order from Monday - Saturday, between 2 and 7 PM. We ask that you please order earlier for deliveries in Brooklyn and Queens to ensure same-day delivery.

Where is the option for Free Local Delivery?

The option will be present at checkout. If there is a fee attached to "Free Local Delivery", it means you have not met our delivery minimum for your region. Any questions or problems can be dealt with by calling us at our store, 718-707-9911.

We currently do not ship internationally.

How do you calculate shipping?

Shipping prices are determined by standard Fedex rates. We do not profit off of shipping costs.

When will my order go through?

All orders processed by 8pm will be shipped the next day via FedEx. We do not ship over the weekend or on federal holidays.

In order to make sure your bottles don’t sit in extreme weather conditions, we will hold your order until it can be safely delivered. This may include holding it over a weekend to insure that your package will not sit in a warehouse for that time, as FedEx does not perform regular delivery on Saturdays or Sundays. If you are willing to risk the weather, we will ship your order at your own risk, but we will not assume responsibility for the condition of your products.

How will I receive my wine?

All orders will be appropriately packaged in reinforced, padded boxes. We will not ship in original external packaging (original wholesale delivery case).

All deliveries require what is called an “Adult Signature.” A package containing alcohol must be signed for by persons 21 years of age or older. No delivery can be made to anyone under the age of 21. If no one of age is present for delivery, two additional attempts will be made to deliver the package. After this, the package will be sent back to us at which point we will notify you of the return. If you do not want the package resent, we will refund the cost of the order less shipping fees and a 10% restocking fee.

Web-order Return Policy

SquareWine does not issue returns for items that are purchased through our website unless the item is out of stock at the time of purchase.

What was that about NYC again?

SquareWine & Spirits delivers everywhere in New York City. Local Delivery in Long Island City is free. Delivery rates are contingent on your location in New York City and are subject to the discretion of SquareWine & Spirits. Please call our store at 718-707-9911 for more details regarding delivery rates.

Do you sell beer / tonic water / mixers?

Though we love beer, we currently only sell wine and spirits, as dictated by NYS law.

I have a stamp card! What does that get me? Can I use it for delivery?

If you would like your SquareWine stamp card stamped upon delivery, please let us know in the comment box at checkout or let the delivery person know when they arrive.

Members of our retail location in Long Island City are subject to certain benefits, including:
a. Wine Stamp Card. Any bottle of wine bought over $9.99 earns a stamp, and after 12 stamps are earned, you can redeem your card for any bottle of wine under $12.99.
b. 15% Case Discount. If you buy a case of wine from us (usually 12 bottles), we will discount it for you 15%.
c. Up-to-date information. As long as you give your name at check-out, our system will track what wines and spirits you purchase. With your address and phone number on file, it makes it very easy for us to deliver to you your favorite things.

My wine card is all stamped, can i get a $12.99 discount on this two-hundred twenty-five dollar Sassicaia 2006?

Sure! Why not.

What are your hours? Are you open on holidays?

We are open every day of the week, 364 days a year (every day except Christmas!). Our hours Monday-Wednesday are 10:30 AM - 9:30 PM. Thursday - Saturday we are open 10:30 AM - 10 PM. On Sunday, our hours are 12 PM - 9 PM. On holidays we are open, usually using our Sunday hours, but we keep our customers informed on a per-holiday basis! Can you supply my wedding/retirement/bachelor(ette) party?

Absolutely! We would be happy to help you shop for wine and spirits for your event, as well as deliver them if necessary. We also host off and on site events. Interested? Call us at (718) 707-9911.

Can we host our event in your store?

Yes. Our giant store can accommodate you and your friends, and we also provide things to gnosh on, wine to drink, sparkling wine to toast with, etc. Once again, call us at (718) 707-9911 for details. We also have a Tasting Room for smaller events, such as retirement parties or friendly wine tastings!

Shipping during inclimate weather

SquareWine & Spirits does not take responsibility for packages that are delivered damaged or unsatisfactory due to the weather conditions during shipping. Inclimate and extreme weather conditions can damage your wine during hot or cold conditions. Should you have any concern about the weather conditions in your area, you may request a more specific shipping date. Choosing expedited shipping can help alleviate the issue of severe weather damaging your wine but we do not guarantee it. You may call us at 718.707.9911 with any shipping concerns.
